Want to know how to catch Shiny Vulpix in Pokemon Go? For almost seven years now, Pokemon Go has been adding more new generations of Pokemon to the gaming world, urging players to complete their Pokedex. But despite this, the main goal of many trainers is the rarest and most unusual Pokemon. And while you can relatively quickly get legendary Pokemon in a raid by gathering a group, having a rare Shiny first-generation Pokemon in your collection is much more prestigious. One of the coveted Shiny Generation 1 Pokemon is the cute nine-tailed fox Vulpix, and today we will tell you how to catch it in Pokemon Go.

As we said earlier, Vulpix is a cute nine-tailed fox with a bright orange color. This Pokemon first appeared in Pokemon Go with the game release and immediately became a player favorite. At the same time, Shiny Vulpix arrived in the world of Pokemon Go in October 2020 during the fall event The Seasons Change.

The color of Shiny Vulpix differs significantly from the classic form. This Pokemon has a yellow body color and light orange tails, and its appearance is more reminiscent of the classic Ninetales. At that time, Shiny Ninetales has a light gray body color and bright red eyes.

Where To Find Shiny Vulpix in Pokemon Go

Like most other Pokemon, you can encounter Shiny Vulpix in the wild with a 1 in 500 chance. But given that even a regular Vulpix is quite hard to find, searching for a rare form can take up to several months. As a Fire-type Pokemon, Vulpix will spawn more often in Sunny and Clear weather, but this will only slightly increase your chances of success.

However, if you want to catch Shiny Vulpix in Pokemon Go, you should wait for the specific events, and here are a couple of them:

  • Vulpix Raid Battles
  • Research and Special Research Task
  • Time-limited events, such as Dark Flames

Shiny Vulpix Catching Tips

The high rarity of Vulpix compels players to look for any way to increase their chances of meeting Shiny. Here are some tips to help you catch Shiny Vulpix in Pokemon Go:

  • As we said, Sunny and Clear weather are the priority times for hunting.
  • Vulpix loves densely populated city areas and central residential areas, so try to search in these places.
  • When walking in the right place during the specific weather, consider using the Incense and Lure Module to attract more Pokemon.

Pokemon Go is available on iOS and Android.
