Amazon Prime Video has just revealed the official trailer for The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, which will star Sigourney Weaver. The mini-series, based on the bestselling novel by Holly Ringland, will star Weaver as the grandmother of a young girl who moves to her flower farm in the wake of a family tragedy. Alycia Debnam-Carey, Asher Keddie, Leah Purcell, and Frankie Adams are also set to star in the upcoming Amazon Original series, with Sarah Lambert acting as showrunner.
Based on Holly Ringland’s 2018 bestselling novel, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart centers around Alice (Debnam-Carey), a nine-year-old girl who loses her parents in a mysterious fire. Now an orphan, Alice is sent to live with her grandmother June (Sigourney Weaver). June owns Thornfield Flower Farm, where she teaches Alice the language of native Australian flowers. During her stay, Alice uncovers “secrets within secrets” of her and her family’s past.
Amazon Prime Video Releases Trailer for The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart
The new trailer for the show shows nine-year-old Alice moving to Thornfield. June, played by Sigourney Weaver in The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, explains to Alice that some people in the area don’t like that the farm is run by women that keep to themselves and are “different.” The flower farm is described as “a refuge full of traumatized people.” The ending shots are interspersed with scenes depicting an older version of Alice, indicating a possible time skip in the series.
An Amazon Original, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart will be produced by Amazon Studios, Made Up Stories, and Fifth Season. Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, and Steve Hutensky will produce the seven-episode series for Made Up Stories, along with Sigourney Weaver, showrunner Sarah Lambert, and director Glendyn Ivin.
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart will release on Amazon Prime Video on August 4th.
