Everyone knows 90 Day Fiancé’s Tyray is in denial. Anyone with eyes and a basic understanding of the internet knows his partner Carmella is clearly a catfish. There is nothing indicating she is a real person that exists. So why, if it is so clear, is Tyray unable to see that for himself? First and foremost, no one wishes this on anyone. On top of that, besides being naïve, he genuinely seems like a nice person. But that is probably why he is being catfished in the first place.

Why Is Tyray In Denial About Carmella Being a Catfish?
First and foremost, we get the “wishful thinking” thing. Admitting the truth makes it all real, and that is something he is not ready to face yet. But the longer he holds onto this denial, the harder it will be for him when the truth inevitably comes to light. His sister even sat him down and showed him how the pictures she sent weren’t really from her. Instead, they were stolen off the web. He knows that a man named Christian has been behind the whole thing.
While we have seen catfishing before on the show, this is the most blatant example. Another thing that makes this catfish one the saddest is the fact that Tyray is a virgin. He was ashamed of his weight most of his life, so he hid away. The one time he got some attention, it turned out to be a scam. The way we see it, he is sort of in denial right now as a way to protect himself. Realistically, he is aware of it and is just too embarrassed to admit it. Our hearts go out to him. Catfishes are literal scum in every sense of the word.
