Moreover, some mobs can drop useful items, including weapons, armor, and accessories. And if you like wolves, then Moon Charm will definitely interest you.

Luckily, you can find this accessory quite easily just by walking around at night. However, you need a full moon night. Only at this time, Werewolf will spawn in Terraria. Each of them can drop Moon Charm with approximately a 1.67% chance in Terraria. Therefore, you will have to kill quite a lot of Werewolves before you can get your hands on this Hardmode accessory. Luckily, Werewolves spawn as zombies, so they will come to you and even enter your house. Also, be careful as these mobs have a 12.5% chance to inflict bleeding on you. You don’t want to die from furry zombies, do you?

In addition to using this item at night, you can equip the Moon Charm in a vanity slot to turn into a Werewolf regardless of the time of day. However, this is only a cosmetic change, as the accessory’s buffs won’t work. Speaking of buffs, if you turn into a Werewolf at night with armor on, it will disappear visually, but all the bonuses from it will remain.

What Is Moon Charm in Terraria? Explained

Terraria has a large number of items with different buffs and effects. Some may increase your stats, while others may give you new abilities. One of these items is the Moon Charm.

As the name implies, Moon Charm is associated with the moon or rather its influence on wolves in Terraria. Wearing it at night, you can turn into a Werewolf and get various buffs:

  • Melee critical hit chance +2%
  • Melee damage +5.1%
  • Melee speed +5.1%
  • Movement speed +5%
  • Defense +3
  • Slightly increased jump height and jump speed
  • Regeneration per second +0.5 HP

These buffs are very useful for melee-build players. Especially given that many bosses only spawn at night, the Moon Charm can save your life and help you win. But first, you must find it.

That’s all you need to know about how to find and use the Moon Charm in Terraria. It is a pretty useful accessory that will give you cool buffs and also make you a little furry. In the meantime, take a look at our guide on how to get a Crate Potion.
