Remnant 2 features a new Archetype class system, which helps players hone in on a role much easier than their previous game. Each Archetype comes with a unique set of skills, perks, and a powerful class-specific Trait. Remnant 2 also does something uncommon in action RPGs; it features hidden classes you won’t even know exist. This guide will break down how to unlock the Summoner Archetype in Remnant 2, as it’s one of the best classes in the game.
How to unlock the Summoner Class in Remnant 2
The only way to unlock the Summoner Archetype in Remnant 2 is to find the Bloodmoon Altar in Yaesha. This altar can only spawn in the Yaesha biome. If your version of the world doesn’t have this altar, you may need to reroll it in Adventure Mode until you have a version of Yaesha with this altar.
Once you’ve discovered the altar, you need to purchase a material called a Faded Grimoire. It isn’t cheap, though. You will need the following resources to buy it.
- 15 Blood Moon Essence
- 5 Lumenite Crystal
- 1,500 Scrap
Once you have purchased it, you must return it to Ward 13 and speak to the Mystic, Wallace. He can convert the Faded Grimoire into the Tome of the Bringer class engram. It will cost the following resources to convert it.
- 1 Faded Grimoire
- 10 Lumenite Crystals
- 1,000 Scrap
Once you have it, equip it into the primary or secondary Archetype slot, and the Summoner Archetype will be yours. Scrap and Lumenite are known materials that you get just from killing normal and elite enemies, but Blood Moon Essence is far trickier to find. Read on to discover where you can farm this material.
How To Find Blood Moon Essence in Remnant 2
The only way to find and farm Blood Moon Essence is in one specific location in Yaesha. You have to find The Far Woods area of Yaesha to find Blood Moon Essence. If you look at the image above, the area looks covered in a crimson haze or fog. This indicates that a Bloodmoon is out, and then you can find this lucrative material. If it looks grey and devoid of color, it’s morning time, and you won’t find the item.
To cycle this area until it’s the right time of day, use a Worldstone, travel to another world, and then travel back. You can begin your hunt once it’s crimson and coated in red. To find Blood Moon Essence, keep looking up at the sky. You will find pairs of floating purple orbs throughout the area.
All you have to do is shoot these purple orbs with a weapon, preferably one with good accuracy, and the orb will fly towards you, granting a Blood Moon Essence in return. You can find about a dozen or so purple orbs per run. Once you farm them all, use a Worldstone to leave and return. This will reset the purple orbs and allow you to farm them repeatedly.
Now that you know how to unlock the Summoner Archetype in Remnant 2 and where to find Blood Moon Essence, take advantage of this powerful class to summon minions and dominate the battlefield.
