During today’s Keynote in the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest 2024, Naoki Yoshida and his team revealed FFXIV Dawntrail as the next expansion of this MMO. While there aren’t a lot of details yet, there’s quite a bit more information that’ll get players pumped. We are getting new jobs, new areas, new characters, and new rivalries among the characters. And if that wasn’t enough, the team behind the expansion already gave us an estimated launch date for FFXIV Dawntrail, which, for the first time, will come to Xbox consoles as well. So, get ready to saddle your Chocobos because the Warriors of Light are traveling to the New World.

Accompanied by this, the MMO will increase its Free Trial to include Stormblood. This is great for those who haven’t tried the game and want to play two expansions for free. It is uncertain when the pre-orders for the expansion will go live, but we hope it happens soon. In the meantime, players are speculating about the new jobs we’ll get. Yoshi-P teased us with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt, which was his way of saying what type of classes would arrive. Hopefully, we’ll see more in the next Fan Festivals of 2023.
