While many fish in Palia will bite even without bait, you will need a Worm or Glow Worm to catch the rare marine and freshwater creatures. Of course, you can always buy some Worms from the General Store for 10 Gold, but as for Glow Worms, you’ll have to make them yourself. Glow Worm is a rare bait for some of the rarest and epic fish species in Palia, and to get this material, you will need to create a Glow Worm Farm. However, this is not so easy to do, so we are here to help you.
How to Unlock Glow Worm Farm in Palia
(Updated on October 4, 2024 – updated links and format)
To unlock Glow Worm Farm in Palia, you must reach level 7 in Fishing, after which you can buy the recipe for this station from the Einar NPC for 2,000 Gold. It is worth noting that Fishing in Palia is an easy but time-consuming activity, so you will have to spend many hours by the river, lake, or sea before you reach the desired level in this skill.
Of course, you can buy Worms from the General Store for 10 Gold each to improve the quality of your catch and level up faster. But on the other hand, you can fish without using bait. It will take you a little longer to level up but save you money to buy the Glow Worm Farm recipe. In addition, having sold all fish caught up to Fishing level 7, you will have enough money for this station.
Once you have completed the prerequisites, you can craft Glow Worm Farm in Palia on the Worktable using the following materials:
- Flow-Infused Plank x12. You can get this material by converting the Sapwood log in any Sawmill.
- Stone Brick x8. Recycle any Stone into Smelter.
- Iron Bar x4. You can find Iron Ore in the Bahari Bay area and place this material in a Basic Smelter (or better) to get an Iron Bar.
- Leather x8. You only need to place the Sernuk Hide in the Fabric Loom to craft Leather.
How To Use Glow Worm Farm in Palia
Once you get a Glow Worm Farm, you can place it on your territory and use it to create Glow Worm, SpeedyGro Fertilizer, and HarvestBoost Fertilizer. You can put any fruit, vegetable, meat, or meal into this device, and after an hour of real-time, you will receive one Glow Worm and some Fertilizers.
Regardless of the food you use, you will only ever get one Glow Worm. But the number and type of Fertilizers may vary. The only way to speed up this process is to build more Glow Worm Farms. But you can also put more than one unit of definite food into the slot of this device to automate the process. For example, you can put 5 Apples in Glow Worm Farm, and after 5 hours, you will get 5 Glow Worms and 20 SpeedyGro Fertilizers.
