One of the most important aspects of Palia is your ability to make friends with different villagers alongside other things like mining and fishing. Doing so can reward you with a variety of different items that you can then use to do other things and quests. One of the quests you need to complete is Find Your Shepp but, what exactly is a Shepp? How to Find a Shepp in Palia

There are both in-game Shepps and out-of-game community member Shepps. To be clear, we are going with the former, which are the ones that you can find roaming around the village in Palia. To find a Shepp in Palia, you will need to first advance your friendship level with one of the 19 adults in the game. Children are not eligible to be Shepps because the idea of a Shepp is that they act as mentors to you. That might change in the future, but that isn’t the case as of right now.
You will need to reach a friendship level of four before being able to do anything with your mentor, which will then trigger the option for you to ask them to be your mentor. Once they become your mentor, you will then need to wait for more to be added to the game, as there is not currently anything that can be done with your Shepp.
What Is a Shepp in Palia?
A Shepp is a kind of mentor role that the Majiri people take on in Palia. It is considered a great honor for both the Shepp and the person that they are mentoring. So, you will want to ensure that you choose the Shepp that you truly want to move forward with before committing to that specific person. Their mentorship acts as a rite of passage because this person acts as your sponsor which allows you to join that specific community.
