The beloved NFL franchise will soon hit the platforms, and players are wondering if Madden 24 has crossplay. This highly sought feature is yet to be included in the popular video game series by EA Sports. We have witnessed the crossplay feature reaching other popular sports games, such as FIFA and NHL. That being said, the multiplayer mode in Madden NFL has been long overdue for a few upgrades, including a crossplay feature. This is designed to allow players to enjoy the game with friends on different platforms.
Madden NFL 24 Crossplay Explained

Crossplay is finally coming to Madden NFL franchise with Madden NFL 24 being the first to have this feature. However, it comes with a catch. Although it will enable players on different platforms to come together on Gridiron, this is possible only for those on new-gen platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Unfortunately, those on PS4 and Xbox One will be left out and will be able to compete with players from the same pool.
Crossplay in Madden 24 is activated automatically once you launch the game. If, for some reason, you want to deactivate this feature, you can do so quite easily. If you are on Xbox navigate to the console system settings where you will find the desired option. For PC and PS5 players, this option is within the in-game settings.
When you opt-in for crossplay, you gain access to a shared matchmaking pool that spans all the supported platforms. This means that players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S can interact, invite, and team up with one another in select multiplayer modes.
Crossplay is available in several game modes. In Madden NFL 24, you can crossplay in online Head-to-Head matches, the ever-popular Madden Ultimate Team, the fast-paced Superstar KO, and the thrilling Superstar Showdown modes.
It’s important to note that certain aspects of your progression are shared across platforms. For instance, any advancements you make to your avatar and gear purchases within Superstar mode sync across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
If you enable crossplay, you’ll automatically be a part of a global leaderboard that spans all supported platforms. However, if you choose to remain within your platform, you’ll only see leaderboards for players who share your chosen platform.

The Madden Ultimate Team Auction House doesn’t support cross-platform functionality. Therefore, you won’t be able to use Coins to obtain items from users on different platforms.
Lastly, it’s worth noting that crossplay has a positive impact on matchmaking wait times. With a larger player pool due to crossplay, you’ll experience shorter wait times and faster matchmaking.
