The August 15th update patch notes have been released for CS: GO, and here are the changes Valve offered players in this patch. It’s been two months since the patch of June 15th, and this latest release brings valuable changes focusing on increasing the gameplay. The most striking innovation with the update was adding Italy to Deathmatch and Casual game modes. Not limited to that, changes such as adjusting sticker sizes on CS2 M4A4 so they no longer overlap are also among the patch notes. All players should take a few moments to take a look at the changes included in the patch before continuing with their matches. That said, let’s examine the CS: GO August 15th update patch notes.

Gameplay

  • Competitive and Private Matchmaking is currently disabled in the Limited Test.
  • Minor adjustments to the smoke cloud shape

Maps

  • Added Italy to Deathmatch and Casual game modes
  • Removed Anubis and Ancient

Economy

  • Unified StatTrak position on both CS2 M4 models to not occlude stickers
  • Adjusted sticker sizes on CS2 M4A4 so they no longer overlap

Misc

  • Updated hostage models

  • Audio mix tweaks and adjustments

Workshop Tools

  • Added support for multiple team introduction variants

The latest version brings the changes mentioned above. In general, the update focuses on small yet functional changes in areas such as gameplay, maps, and economy. Meanwhile, just because it doesn’t bring significant changes and features like its predecessors doesn’t mean it’s not worth installing.
