Baldur’s Gate 3 offers you a compelling story that changes with every choice and action you make. Speaking of action, the developers really gave the players complete freedom. Of course, this also applies to your unique character, which you will create for at least an hour. Depending on the class and race, your skills and abilities will differ. But you can become even stronger by using the power of the dark side or rather Illithid power. So, read on to find out how Luck of the Far Realms in Baldur’s Gate 3 works.

Using Illithid powers is one of the biggest decisions your character has to make. Of course, this will have consequences, and some companions may not agree with you. However, this power can give you incredible abilities with which you can destroy enemies in a single turn. Moreover, you can get one of the best Illithid powers, called Luck of the Far Realms, quite early in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Luck of the Far Realms is a passive feature without class or race restrictions. Using it, you can turn a successful Attack Roll against an enemy into a Critical Hit. For example, playing as a Rogue Assassin and using Sneak Attack, you can deal massive damage to the enemy before they notice you. However, it’s important to note that Luck of the Far Realms can only be used once, after which you need a Long Rest to recharge the ability.

As we said, this is one of the first Illithid powers you can get, of course, if you choose this dark path. You must consume parasites until you gain access to the Illithid tree skill. Then spend a tadpole to unlock the Favorable Beginnings skill, which is also very useful. And only after that, you will be able to learn the Luck of the Far Realms skill in Baldur’s Gate 3.
