Echoes of The Ancient World is just one of the many new quests that have become available in the Genshin Impact version 4.0. This quest, like The Fountain Flows Again, requires you to go a little bit out of your way. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s difficult by any means. Considering that, we wanted to show you exactly how to complete Echoes of the Ancient World so that you don’t have to try and figure it out while you’re in the middle of the quest.
Complete Echoes Of The Ancient World – Walkthrough
As with most of the quests in Fontaine, you’ll be starting your journey in Merusea Village. We outlined it on the map above so you know exactly where to start. There, will need to speak with Verenata. At that point, you’ll be asked to find two NPCs named Carabosse and Topyas in A Very Bright Place. After speaking with them, you’ll need to head over to a sealed cave that the map will mark for you. Once you arrive, you’ll notice that there is a seal at the entrance to the cave. In order to break this seal, you will need to hit each of the three blue crystals that are in front of the cave.
After the seal has been broken, you will be able to go into the cave to find the score you are searching for, the Melody of Vesta. After retrieving it, you’ll need to absorb the Xenochromatic Ability of an Armored Crab that is nearby and hit the boulder to the left of where you found the score in order to return to the surface. Once you’ve reached the surface, you can talk to Topyas about the score, but he won’t know how to read it. That’s when you’ll need to head over to the Court of Fontaine where you can speak with Katheryne who can help you post a commission about someone who can read the Melody of Vesta. Nearby Tailleferre will hear about your problem and offer to read the score for you, telling you that only a conch instrument can play the music.
After relaying this information to Topyas, you’ll be asked to put a token at the top of the Conch Harp that’s nearby. Then, you can use the Xenochromatic Armored Crab’s ability at the mouth of the conch to activate it. Enemies will spawn from the conch after you do this but defeat them to hear the conch’s performance and finish the quest. Completing this Genshin Echoes of the Ancient World quest will earn you:
- 30 Primogems
- Two Hero’s Wits
- 20,000 Mora
- Three Mystic Enhancement Ores
- 250 Adventure EXP
- One Strange Part
