Doctors Reveal If Bronny James Would Play Again After Cardiac Arrest
A family spokesperson has provided an update on Bronny James’ prognosis since the cardiac arrest. Per the statement, Bronny underwent medical evaluations at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Mayo Clinic, and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center. The procedures led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije, Dr. Michael J. Ackerman, and Dr. Matthew W. Martinez identified the probable cause of Lebron James’ son’s cardiac arrest as “an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect.”
Aside from confirming the cause of Bronny James’ cardiac arrest, the statement revealed that the heart condition responsible was, in fact, curable. Hence, the young athlete would get a chance to play once again. It read,
“We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”
This comes one month after Cedars-Sinai Medical Center confirmed the basketball player’s discharge from the facility having received “prompt treatment.” At the time, the medical center revealed in a statement that Bronny James was now “in recovery” and resting after his cardiac arrest. The family also shared an update earlier affirming Bronny’s stable condition.
