A few factions, planets, and cities within these factions have been named as part of the hype for Starfield’s launch. Several of these cities are occupied by specific factions, with those being called the United Colonies. If you’d like to get a head start on knowing about all the cities that can be found occupied by the United Colonies, then you can read on to get that information! If you’d like, you can also check out things like if there are difficulty achievements or multiplayer options in Starfield.

Several cities act as the base for different factions with the Sol and Alpha Centauri solar systems. The city that serves as the base for the United Colonies is New Atlantis, which is located on the planet Jemison within the Alpha Centauri system. To put a few things into perspective concerning the size of New Atlantis, it is bigger than any city you can find in any of the other big Bethesda games we mentioned above. Todd Howard confirmed that this city will not only be huge, but you should expect to be able to do everything from working on your ship to going through the Constellation headquarters.

Players will also be able to go through Cydonia, a mining hub that also belongs to the United Colonies. This hub is their largest one and plays a vital role in the survival of its civilization. While Cydonia houses a primarily bustling site, it has an industrial landscape and a busy atmosphere that can keep explorers on their toes.

Players will also come across The Key. This is a space station that formerly belonged to the United Colonies. Since its abandonment, it has been taken over by the Crimson Fleet pirates, who are adamant about using violence to justify their means. It is unclear whether or not the United Colonies still have any standing or say regarding The Key, but it’s definitely possible.

Currently, those are all the revealed Starfield cities of the United Colonies. Other bits of lore include how the United Colonies tried to expand into the Narion system, but they decided to side with the Freestar Collective instead.
