Bethesda has recently shared a new Starfield “Space Camp” trailer in preparation for the game’s upcoming early access. In this trailer, we see a handful of influencers enter into a Space Camp to emulate some of the mechanics seen in Starfield in real life. This new trailer takes an interesting approach to game trailers and feels almost like a documentary at times. Here’s a breakdown of the roughly seven-minute-long new Starfield trailer.
Influencers Take On Space Camp In This New Starfield Trailer
Starfield, for those who don’t know, is Bethesda’s newest upcoming RPG. Interestingly, Starfield is Bethesda’s first new IP in over 25 years. Due to this, a lot of hype has been surrounding the new release and its development. Currently, the game has been in development for around seven years. Following this new Starfield trailer, come September 1st, the RPG will enter its first early access phase. The game will then receive a full release on September 6th. Much like many other Bethesda franchises, Starfield is an RPG primarily focusing on the exploration of a huge open world. In this case, the game takes a sci-fi approach to the genre, complete with planetary exploration.
Space Camp Tools Emulate Starfield Mechanics In Real Life
In this new trailer, creators Astro_Alexandra, Filspixel, LilyPichu, and Myth take on a series of challenges that emulate Starfield mechanics. First, the group simulates the game’s boost pad mechanic by using a chair that emulates lower gravity. Each of the creators is given a chance to bounce around and experience what it’s like to feel almost weightless. Second, the creators are given the chance to emulate repairs on a large ship. Finally, towards the end of the new Starfield trailer, each member of the group is given the chance to try a Multi-Axis Trainer. This device spins each of the creators around in circles, in an attempt to emulate space flight.
Starfield will be released on September 1st for Early Access and September 6th for its complete release. Additionally, the game will be available on PC and Xbox Series X and Series S.
