Within The Empty Nest quest, there is a portion where you must figure out where to find Solomon’s Maps in Starfield. However there are a few different ways you can do this, but all of them lead to some distraction or persuasion toward Jacob Coe. He is hoarding all of Solomon’s Maps, even though everyone in the family has the same right to them as he does, and he wants Sam to avoid getting his hands on them. Let’s take a look at where, exactly, to find Solomon’s Maps in Starfield.

Talk to Jacob in The Empty Nest

You can take three different paths at this point, each leading to the same outcome: You and Sam Coe walk away with Solomon’s Maps in Starfield.

  • Ask Cora for help.
  • Have Sam distract Jacob while you search for the maps.
  • Persuade Jacob to give you the maps.

While each option is pretty straightforward, if you choose to have Sam Distract Jacob while you search for the maps, you’ll have to snoop through his house and find them yourself. Jacob Coe’s house isn’t the smallest and has many places to search. Though, if you know the right place to explore, it won’t take a long time.

First, you should let Sam know that you’d like him to distract Jacob Coe. He’ll tell you to go speak to him when you’re ready for him to begin the distraction, and then you will be able to look around freely. Meanwhile, Sam will be talking to Jacob Coe and diverting his attention from you.

If you wander through the two stories of Jacob Coe’s house, you’ll notice quite a few doors. Several of them lead into other rooms, some of them lead outside, and one of them is locked. The door we’re aiming for is the locked one. As you approach it, you’ll notice a novice lock on it, meaning it won’t be too difficult to pick the lock, so long as you have some Digipicks on you.

Once you’re inside the small office behind the locked door in Jacob Coe’s house, you should notice a desk, and to the right of the desk, a small filing cabinet. You can find Solomon’s Maps on top of the filing cabinet.

We hope you found our guide on where to find Solomon’s Maps in the Starfield Empty Nest quest helpful.

Starfield is now available on PC and Xbox consoles.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
