Starfield offers you an exciting space exploration experience with many planets. Each of them is a unique world with different NPCs, quests, secrets, and puzzles. Therefore, most of the time, you will be traveling on your starship. Fortunately, the developers have added a detailed ship Constructor to the game in which each player will be able to build Ships to their liking. Of course, you can give your ship a name. So, read on to find out how to rename your ship Starfield.

Your ship is the most valuable companion in Starfield. It is your home where you can live, craft, and do other things. So, if you don’t like the name of the ship you bought or built, you can rename it.

So, to rename your ship to Starfield, you first need to find a Ship Services Technician NPS. They usually stay in landing zones near big cities. The fastest way is to fly to New Atlantis, and right next to your ship, you will find the right NPC:

  1. Select the I’d like to view and modify my ships dialog option to go to the Ship Constructor menu.
  2. Then click on the Ship Builder button. Here, you can change the parts of the ship if you want.
  3. Click on the Flight Check in the lower right corner and then on the Rename Ship button.
  4. After that, you will only have to enter the desired name for your ship in Starfield and rename it.

Luckily, this feature is completely free. Therefore, you can rename your ships as much as you like. At first glance, this may not seem like the most useful feature, but when rebuilding a ship, you will probably want to change its name.

That’s all you need to know about how to rename your ship Starfield. This feature is very useful but hidden among other features in the Ship Builder menu. Therefore, follow our advice to change the names of your ships at any time. While you are here, please take a look at our guide on how to dock at Space Station.
