In terms of gameplay, Starfield is arguably the largest Bethesda RPG so far. With so much content to take part in, like space exploration, quests, and resource gathering, it can be difficult to find where to start. However, the players featured in this article have jumped right into Starfield’s outpost-building mechanic. Although this aspect of the game isn’t the most fleshed-out part of Starfield, there’s still quite a bit of fun to be had here. This is especially true when players focus on making bases that prioritize design over function. Here are some of the best outposts made by the Starfield community.
A Stunning Starfield Outpost In Progress
Twitter user Abaddon the Despoiler shows off an excellent Starfield outpost, that despite being a work in progress, looks way better than most. It seems that this user has had a lot of experience base building in Fallout 4 and has transferred that skill set to Bethesda’s new RPG. With a great interlocked layout, efficient organization, and beautiful camera angles, this base is one of the coolest I’ve seen.
Late Outpost On Mars
Player Synth Potato, although only getting into the mechanic 50 hours into the game, has built an excellent example of a Starfield outpost. Looking at this outpost, despite being on the smaller side, achieves a nice sense of verticality paired with a beautiful view of Mars. For anyone putting off outpost building, this design shows that it is never too late to get started.
Rebuilding The Starfield’s Earth With An Outpost
As many players know, in Starfield the planet Earth is a desolate wasteland. Although it is sad to see the decimation of human history, Twitter user CoupleGaming has decided to reclaim the Earth. First and foremost, this Starfield outpost features an excellent location and view. Although a bit empty, the snowy landscape of Earth makes the base feel nostalgic.
Starfield Player Makes An Outpost Smuggling Empire
While some outposts focus a bit more on design than function, Twitter user DefyelerB has created a galactic smuggling empire. So far, this player has built 14 outposts among 7 solar systems on 11 planets, earning a massive amount of passive income. DefyelerB has reported that they are sitting on 7 million credits made from their operation.
Starfield Outposts Can Make XP Grinds Easier
Another idea that focuses on function over design is PMaka1991’s design for an XP-generating Starfield outpost. By building a base on a specific part of the moon Andraphon, and using the wait mechanic to gather a large quantity of iron and aluminum. After, players can craft recipes from this bounty, earning huge amounts of experience.
Creative Storage Solutions
While this Starfield outpost doesn’t break any ground with its design or function, it’s arguably the most creative entry on the list. Player Morti was struggling to acquire enough research and Skill levels to make adequate storage for their base. However, rather than giving up, they manually placed each item in bins, giving the base a realistic charm.
Efficient And Well-Designed Starfield Outposts
For some, building Starfield outposts can be a bit of a daunting task. However, player Juganawt claims that after 50+ hours of base building, they are finally grasping the concept. The base that they share in the post is suspended over a gap and has a very clean design. While the floating base idea is already cool enough, the awesome pose and photography work make the outpost stand out even more.
A Starfield Outpost With A View
For many, the form and function of a Starfield outpost are arguably the two most important parts. A third thing that players should consider, however, is the view. Player SirPeasantbury absolutely nails this concept by choosing an optimal location for their base. Located behind the lake near New Atlantis, this outpost gives players an excellent view of the city.
Another Amazing View of New Atlantis
However, SirPeasantbury isn’t the only player who thought of having a view of the city included with their Starfield outpost. Player _Master_Ace_ has set up their base in a similar location, albeit a bit closer to New Atlantis. While the view is a bit closer, it still looks equally amazing, making for a worthy outpost.
A Simple Outposts That Shows How Early You Can Get Started
Personally, I’ve been putting off a lot of Starfield’s outpost content until I’m higher level in the game. However, player naiohme proves that even at level 13, you can make some interesting bases. Although small, the outpost itself floats in a huge body of water, providing a wonderful scenic view.
