Fae Farm is a rather unconventional farming simulator, as it spices up your daily farming tasks with magic. The game keeps its core mechanics a bit mysterious, and this goes for using the Iron Pickaxe Magical ability. However, this one is a relatively easy task despite the lack of in-game explanation. Fae Farm stands out from traditional cozy farm sims with its unique approach, as it leaves players to explore and discover magical moments on their own. With that said, here is what you need to do to use the Iron Pickaxe Magical ability in Fae Farm.

Upgrade Your Pickaxe

To begin, you will need to upgrade your regular Pickaxe to the Iron Pickaxe. To do this, first venture into the depths of Saltwater Mines to gather Iron Ore. You will find it typically around floor 10. If you can’t reach those depths in one go, craft Seals to mark your progress. Copper Seals will do the job for the early floors, but as you venture deeper, you will need to craft Hammered Engraved Copper Seals that require Citrine and Peridot mining. You need two Iron Ingots and 500 gold to complete the upgrade. Once you have gathered enough, head to the Blacksmith’s workshop beneath the main square to upgrade your Pickaxe to the Iron Pickaxe.

Use the Iron Pickaxe Magical Ability

Once you have upgraded to Iron Pickaxe, it is time to use its magic. While you mine, simply press Y on your Switch or Xbox Controller or F on your Keyboard to use the Iron Pickaxe Magical Ability. What this magical ability does is that it impacts a 3×3 square area in front of you. This will let you mine faster as it smashes a group of rocks and ore veins around you.

Mana Management

Keep in mind that using magical abilities consumes Mana instead of Energy. To maintain a steady Mana supply, stock up on Mana Potions, available at Vera’s Shop in the main plaza.

Cleo’s Quests

As you upgrade to Iron Pickaxe, Cleo will task you to venture into mines with your new Iron Pickaxe Magical Ability to his benefit and yours as well. You can use it as long as you have enough mana.

As we already said. This is an easy task as it requires only a push of a button and a bit of mana management. Venture into the depths of Saltwater Mines and mine faster, further improving your tools and crafts.
