In Starfield, you can explore different corners of space in search of Artifacts. However, your path is dangerous, as you will encounter various enemies on planets and in space. Fortunately, the game has a large arsenal of weapons, both long-range and melee. And if you’re tired of rifles, pistols, and lasers, you can try something more classic but no less effective, namely the Katana. Even though this is a medieval weapon, it stayed until the time of space travel. So, read on to find out how to get the Wakizashi Katana in Starfield.

Finding weapons in Starfield is not a problem until you want to get your hands on something rare. The Wakizashi Katana is an example of such a rare weapon. It is also worth noting that this sword has pretty good stats:

  • 49 Physical Damage
  • 1.35 Mass Value

However, unlike most guns, you won’t be able to find them in your enemies’ pockets. No matter how carefully you search the locations, you will not find the Wakizashi Katana in the open world of Starfield. A guaranteed method to obtain this weapon is to purchase it from a specific vendor in Neon City.

How To Unlock Hatchet Vendor

So, to get the Wakizashi Katana in Starfield, you must land in Neon City and go to the Ebbside elevator. It will lead you to a bar called Madame Sauvage’s Place. Find Andrea Sandoval there and ask her to lead you to their leader.

While talking to Briggs, you must ask to join the gang to unlock The Audition quest. To complete it, you just need to follow the marker and steal the Disciples’ Slate. Then return to Briggs to claim your reward and unlock a Vendor named Hatchet, who can sell you the Wakizashi Katana in Starfield.

She sells quite a wide variety of weapons. But without a doubt, Wakizashi Katana is the best item in stock. This sword costs 5833 Credits, so it may take you a while to collect the required amount, especially if you have just started your adventure. However, Katana is definitely worth all your efforts.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Wakizashi Katana in Starfield. It is one of the best melee weapons, so follow our advice to buy it as early as possible. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to assign weapon groups.

Starfield is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
