Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti are known as the Loyal Three, the Legendary Trio of Scarlet and Violet‘s The Teal Mask DLC. Like any Trainer worth their salt, as a newcomer to the Kitakami region, you will want to chase and add them to your collection. Here’s how to get Munkidori in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask.

First, as a part of the main quest, you will head to the Wistful Field area and battle against the Munkidori in its Titanic Form. The location can be found at the southwest corner of your map. Munkidori is a Poison/Psychic-Type Pokemon. In this boss fight, it appears as a giant and hits pretty hard. Be careful of its Sludge Wave that will inflict an annoying Badly Poisoned status on your Pokemon. You will want to counter it with these Types of attacks:

  • Dark
  • Ghost
  • Ground

Thankfully during this fight, Carmine will join you and eventually point out some Type weaknesses. Her Morpeko can also inflict Paralysis with Thunder Wave, acting as a nice support. Her Mightyena can also lower the enemy’s Defense through Crunch. Titanic Munkidori cannot be caught so just hit it with everything you got and defeat it! The Munkidori will revert to its normal form, run, and drop a Teal Mask. Now as your prey is weakened, the hunt continues…

Afterward, continue playing the game until you beat all Titanic Loyal Three and complete the main quest. At this point forward, you should be able to capture the Legendaries just like in older Pokemon games.

Similar to your first encounter, Munkidori in its normal form can be found hanging out in the Wistful Field area again. In front of the lake, to be precise. From Mossui Town’s Loyalty Plaza just head to the southwest corner of the map and you should find it. Beat it until it reaches red health and you can capture Munkidori in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask. That’s all for locating and capturing Munkidori.
