In general terms, the Invasions Mode of Mortal Kombat 1 will provide players with a different experience from the ones they’re used to. This mode will throw fighters into different maps where they can advance to obtain loot and participate in different mini-games and fights. This is a great way to keep players hooked, especially if they finish the story or have no one to play with. Besides these details, the developers revealed the following:

  • The mode will be completely free to play.
  • No Battle Pass.
  • You can’t get rewards by paying for them; you must earn them by playing.
  • The game mode requires you to be online to register the rewards you get.
  • Season 1 is called ‘The Spectre’.
  • Each Season will have an opening and ending cinematic detailed the events of the current Invasion.
  • Invasions Season 1 will include six maps.
