Of course, you won’t have any trouble getting Iron or Lead from the beginning of your adventure, but you might get confused by not finding Europium among the vendors’ goods. As a rare Tier 3 mineral, Europium is an essential ingredient in Overclocked or Recon Scope Weapon Mods recipes, but it is not easy to obtain. So we are here to help you and tell you where to find and farm Europium in Starfield.
Starfield: All Ways To Get Europium
First of all, it is worth noting that you can get Europium in Starfield in several ways:
- Buy from specific vendors.
- Find it as a random drop.
- Mine on several planets and moons using the Cutter.
- Automate the farming of this mineral using the Mining Outpost.
Since Europium is a rare tier 3 material, you should accept that you can not buy it in the early gameplay stages. This material is in far systems, so your fuel tank is not enough to get there. On the other hand, this material is sensitive to your level and will not appear in the assortment of vendors until you reach at least level 20.
If your level meets the minimum requirement, you can buy Europium by visiting most general goods vendors. For example, you can travel to the Amoli Bava NPC in the Jemison Mercantile building in New Atlantis. But it is much more efficient to go to the Cheyenne System and land in Akila City on Akila Planet. Visit Midtown Minerals for tons of rare minerals, including Europium.
The average cost of Europium is 38-40 Credits, but vendors’ stocks are limited. So, if you’ve bought all of Europium, sit down on the nearest chair and wait 24-48 hours before you can buy more.
Also, one should not exclude the factor of luck, which is essential when it comes to such material as Europium. You can find this mineral by searching abandoned locations, enemy corpses, containers, and cabinets. For example, you can make endless raids on Nova Galactic Staryard, kill respawning enemies, and farm various consumables and valuable materials. In addition, you can choose the path of a space pirate and steal resources from defeated ships.
However, if you are an experienced player, you can mine Europium by visiting distant planets and moons. Unfortunately, this material is only available on 49 celestial bodies, so finding it is hard. You can scan every celestial body to reach the coveted Eu chemical symbol, but it will take you a lot of time, so here are a few planets you can start with:
- Andraphon moon – Sumati planet in the Narion System
- Gryphus moon – Danra planet in the Narion System
- Eridani IV-c moon – Eridani IV planet in the Eridani System
- Eridani VII-c moon – Eridani VII planet in the Eridani System
- Ananke planet – Olympus System
- Andromas III planet – Andromas System
- Smet moon – Washakie planet in the Cheyenne System
How To Farm Europium in Starfield
You probably won’t need too much Europium for your needs, but its high cost makes sense if you want to get it for sale. In this case, you will need a lot of Europium, and here is how you can farm it in Starfield:
- Go to one of the celestial bodies from the list above.
- Scan the planet and find the area with a large area of the same color as the chemical element Europium (Eu).
- Land in this area and use the Helmet Scanner to confirm the presence of the desired mineral under the surface layer.
- Build an Outpost by installing an Extractor, 5-6 Solar Array or Wind Turbines and several Storages.
- Finally, wait a little, after which you can enjoy continuous supplies of the desired mineral.
