Undoubtedly, one of the best features of Mortal Kombat 1 is Invasions Mode. While many just want to fire up the game to fight against other players, others just want some single-player fun, which is possible due to this new board game-like mechanic. Yet, players who immerse themselves in this game mode will quickly find a few locked things that need certain items. One of the rarest items in this mode that unlocks certain areas is the Nether Stone.

There are certain things Mortal Kombat 1 won’t tell you when playing, such as how to get a Nether Stone. This might frustrate many players as every map has a small area that is locked and can only be opened by using a Nether Stone. If you want to get this item, all you must do is finish the Invasions Mode. To do this, you must finish all maps and beat Scorpion in the final area. After that, you’ll get a Nether Stone as a reward. However, other players have reported getting this item after beating other bosses. We can’t confirm this, though, so the only sure option is beating the game mode.

It is nice to see NetherRealm adding new modes to let players spend time honing their skills without fighting others. So, if you want to spend more time on Invasion Mode, grab your favorite character, learn those fatalities, and take the fight to Scorpion to get the coveted Nether Stone of Mortal Kombat 1.
