You can invite and play with friends by selecting Local or Online options under the Versus menu. Local means you can play with friends in the same room, while Online allows you to connect with friends from different locations. Since playing Local matches is straightforward, let’s look at how to invite and play with friends inย Mortal Kombat 1ย online. Below are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Go to the main menu and select online under Versus.
  2. Go to Private and select Versus.
  3. Choose the player you want to fight from the list.
  4. Invite your friend to join the fight in Mortal Kombat 1. Once they have accepted, you can start playing with each other.

Also, if you choose Kasual, you will be directed to matchmaking and randomly paired with another player. This allows you to take on different opponents and increase your skill level. Also, you can select Ranked matches if you think you are capable enough to go against experienced players.

However, we can expect crossplay to be available in the future, but there is no exact date for it. The official FAQ section displayed this information but was removed after some time.

Playing with friends in Mortal Kombat 1 is very easy and enjoyable. All you need to do is go to the Versus menu, select Local or Online options, choose a player from the list, and start having fun. Also, you can join matchmaking if you are looking for a challenge.
