Caliber is a premium currency in The First Descendant. It is the most sought-out coinage within the game and one of the more rare currencies to find. There are multiple types of currencies in The First Descendant, including Credits and Gold. You use the currencies to purchase a variety of items, with Gold being used to purchase character research, whereas Credits are used to buy material needed to unlock new classes in the game. Getting some Caliber isn’t too difficult, but is there a way to get more Caliber in The First Descendant?

The easiest and most common way to get Caliber in The First Descendant is by logging into the game once a day. During the title’s test period, The First Descendant rewards players 500 Caliber for signing in each day. Other rewards earned for daily log-in are cosmetics for your characters and weapons.

There are also daily missions that you can complete that will reward you with some Caliber. Missions and rewards are changed every day during the game’s beta testing period, so make sure to check your daily missions.

There’s no other way to receive more Caliber in The First Descendant. However, since the game is still in open beta, it’s possible when the full title launches it will have more options for you to collect Caliber. We expect it will be available to purchase with real-life money since Caliber is the premium currency in the game.

You can spend Caliber at the main city hub, Albion. There’s an icon on your mini-map that reads Descendant Instructor, a device that gives you information on the Descendants. Interacting with the device will offer you options to purchase items with Caliber. This is so far the only location to spend Caliber in the game.

Caliber is the only way to purchase cosmetics for your characters in The First Descendant. The types of cosmetics you can purchase with Caliber are:

  • Full Body Skins – 400 Caliber each
  • Single Piece Descendant Cosmetic (like a chest piece or amr) – 150 Caliber each
  • New Paint – 50 Caliber
  • Weapon Skins – 100 Caliber
