Leaping between worlds, solving mind-bending puzzles, and unraveling the mysteries of a strange universe? That’s Cocoon. As the mind behind Limbo and Inside, Jeppe Carlsen delivered an experience just as rewarding with the debut project from Geometric Interactive. Though you might be eager to explore these dreamy landscapes, you’ll need access to the game first. For Xbox and PC players, that raises a big question: is Cocoon on Xbox Game Pass?

Cocoon is available on Xbox Game Pass. That’s great because it gives you a couple of options. If you’ve never played Limbo or Inside and aren’t sure if Cocoon will be your cup of quivering alien tea, Game Pass is a great way to try the game out without committing to an outright buy. After all, even if you end up not liking it, you’ll have a whole library of other Game Pass games to soothe your soul. Considering the quality of the puzzles here, however, that’s probably not how it’s going to go.
Since Cocoon isn’t a console exclusive, you can also check it out on PlayStation. Game Pass remains one of the best ways to experience the game, however, for its price, convenience, and broad library. Clocking in at around 5 hours for most playthroughs, Cocoon is tightly packed, and even if you plan on replaying it the second you beat it, you should have plenty of time left on your Game Pass subscription to try other things.
