Navigating the neon-lit streets of Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 is no easy task, especially when you’re caught in a web of deceit and betrayal. The Phantom Liberty DLC has introduced a slew of new missions, and ‘Birds With Broken Wings’ stands out as one of the most intricate. With Songbird’s double-crossing and the looming threat of the FIA, players are in for a rollercoaster of emotions and decisions. Wondering how to navigate this treacherous path? This guide will walk you through every step and choice in the mission.

After wrapping up ‘You Know My Name,’ there’s a brief pause before ‘Birds With Broken Wings’ kicks off. The mission centers around Songbird’s dubious allegiances and the player’s quest to extract her from Hansen’s clutches. But with survival at stake, the choices aren’t straightforward.

The mission triggers a day after ‘You Know My Name.’ Head to The Moth and rendezvous with Alex in her safe house. Engage in a briefing with Reed and Alex, discussing the plan to free Songbird. For those curious about their past, you can prod them about their Medellin operations.

Alex will guide you to a tracking station near Pacifica Serenity Bible Church. If you boast an Intelligence Level of 10, you can suggest a change in the plan. After reaching the station, Songbird gifts you an upgrade for your Relic, granting three Relic Points.

Meeting Songbird between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM unveils her backstory and her reasons for bringing Myers to Dogtown. This conversation unlocks an alternative mission outcome, influencing your decision to trust her with the sought-after cure.

Post your chat with Songbird, and access the tracking station transceiver near the Chapel. Players with an Intelligence Level of 15 can remotely connect to other stations. The second station, located in Arroyo, Santo Domingo, is guarded by the 6th Street Gang. Engage with Luka, a boy nearby, to power up the transceiver.

After obtaining the Encryption Key, Reed will contact you with further instructions. Meanwhile, Alex invites you for a drink at The Moth, offering a deeper dive into her persona.

Reed directs you to Farida’s clinic in Golden Pacific for new Cyberware. This is where the mission’s intensity peaks. Head to Farida’s clinic for the final segment of ‘Birds With Broken Wings.’ Post cyberware installation, another pivotal conversation with Reed awaits. This decision in Cyberpunk 2077 is of utmost importance. While it’s not the final time you’ll choose between Solomon Reed and Songbird, the stakes are high.

Regardless of your decision, Reed equips you with a device, hoping it can incapacitate her. The subsequent mission, ‘I’ve Seen That Face Before,’ will solidify your path, leading to one of the expansion’s two final outcomes. Depending on your actions throughout the DLC, an optional chat with Alex about this mission might be available at her bar.
