When major exclusive games are released, it is no surprise to get a fun crossover or bundle to purchase to celebrate the occasion. As Insomniac gears up to send Spider-Man 2 out to the world for us to save New York once again, a new PS5 console bundle has been announced by Sony. You will be able to get the current-gen PlayStation with the upcoming superhero game on the same date as the game’s release, October 20.
Sony Webs Up Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console Bundle in Time for Release Date
This is the second time we have seen a PS5 bundle with Spider-Man 2, except much fancier. A limited-edition version was released in September for $599.99. For fans who could grab one, they got a custom-plated console that was black with a splash of red, featuring the iconic white spider in the corner. It also came with the DualSense controller, which had a similar design with a smaller splash of red on the side.
While its competitors are more known for custom consoles, Sony has delivered some special editions of its latest console. Previously, the company released a limited-time LeBron James console with various scribbles and doodles to give some colorful pop to the black plates and controller. Its standard variants have included gray camouflage and a galaxy-inspired red, blue, purple, pink, and more.
Whether you buy Spider-Man 2 on its own or get the upcoming PS5 console bundle, you should expect a significant upgrade from the 2017 game and Miles Morales. This is a PS5 exclusive, so Insomniac is leaning fully into its smooth frame rate and speedy SSD. Some of the improvements and changes include more suits that can be customized, swapping between Miles and Peter, new boroughs of New York being available, and more life to the city with its foot and vehicle traffic getting enhanced.
Spider-Man 2 will be released on PS5 on October 20. No price has been listed yet for the bundle.
