The latest Hunt: Showdown event, ‘Tide of Corruption,’ has introduced a plethora of content. However, the most exciting part of any event is the introduction of new weapons. Tide of Corruption is no different, and has brought us some fantastic additions to the game’s arsenal! If you’ve been struggling to figure out which of the new guns you should be using, read ahead. Here area all new weapons in Hunt: Showdown Tide of Corruption, ranked.
Ranking Each Hunt: Showdown Weapon
Unfortunately, before using each of these weapons for yourself, you’re going to need to unlock them. This can be done by progressing through the ‘Tide of Corruption’ battle pass. Read our progression guide here to learn the most optimal way to do so.
8) Baseball Bat
Despite being an objectively cool idea, the baseball bat is by no means a good weapon choice. It is essentially the blunt counter-part to the machete, another unpopular choice. It does have the potential to one-shot an enemy with a heavy attack to the head, but you are better off just taking a cavalry saber instead. For these reasons, Hunt: Showdown’s baseball bat gets the lowest ranking on this list.
7) Pennyshot Derringer
The Pennyshot Derringer is a surprisingly lethal close-range option. It operates exclusively within melee range, so treat it more like a melee weapon and you will find significantly more success. It does rank slightly higher than the baseball bat thanks to its utility, but players shouldn’t be quick to put their trust in it.
6)Springfield Bayonet
There isn’t much to say about the Springfield Bayonet. The weapon is a Hunt: Showdown staple and would rank higher on this list if there weren’t so many other guns in this event. The firearm is a copy-paste of the standard Springfield, with an added blade to provide more utility. However, the Springfield is now more viable than ever now that it has high velocity bullets.
5) Bornheim Silencer
For years, fans have been begging for the Bornheim Silencer to be added to Hunt: Showdown. It is ranked slightly above the Springfield due to its ease of use and utility, but it truly isn’t that lethal. It requires three shots to the chest to kill, making it a better follow-up weapon. Still, having a silent weapon with decent range is a God-send in a game like Hunt: Showdown.
4) Berthier Marksman
The Berthier Marksman is only a slight upgrade over the already-available dead-eye variant. However, that does not detract from just how darn useful this weapon is. The Berthier Marksman is a head-clicking machine thanks to its incredible range and velocity. Its only real downside is the small bullet capacity.
3) Vetterli Cyclone
The Vetterli Cyclone ranks highly in this Hunt: Showdown update for one major reason: fire-rate. The firearm is the only semi-automatic medium rifle in the game, giving users a strong competitive edge over their enemies. Sadly, its in-game price is rather absurd. Unless you’ve got a big pile of cash sitting around, spending 600 Hunt dollars on the gun is hard to justify.
2) Uppercut Precision
The Uppercut Precision is already becoming an important part of the game’s meta. Extremely high damage, range, and stability make this gun an absolute monster. The thing is practically as powerful as the 3-slot long-ammo rifles! No doubt that this weapon will be the source of plenty of frustrating deaths.
1) Uppercut Precision Deadeye
Take everything we just mentioned about the Uppercut Precision, and now slap a scope on it. For obvious reasons, the Uppercut Precision Deadeye ranks number one in Hunt: Showdown’s current meta. The gun can even be made stronger by equipping the deadeye scopesmith perk, granting even further head-clicking potential. Players have been asking for this weapon for quite some time now, but they may just live to regret it.
Also added to the Tide of Corruption is the Fire Beetle. It isn’t technically a weapon, which is why it doesn’t receive a ranking on this list. Seeing how it can viably kill enemies, however, we thought it deserved an honorable mention. Of course, everybody has their unique playstyle that best suits them. Be sure to give each of the weapons a try before deciding on which one is your personal favorite!
Hunt: Showdown’s Tide of Corruption event lasts until November 29th.
