According to efforts from data miners, Epic Games is bringing back Fortnite Season 1 and the OG Fortnite map. Not only is there leaked information but Epic itself is even officially dropping some hints. The most obvious of these was a recent Tweet titled “The greatest heist of all time.” In the image, you can see the Time Machine in the background. But what is the date on the Time Machine, and what does it signify? Let’s answer whether we think the Old Chapter 1 Fortnite map is really coming back.
Is Fortnite Bringing Back the Old Map

As you can see below, Epic Games posted this tweet from its official account, and the date on the Time Machine in the background is immediately noticeable. July 12, 2018, which coincides with the release of Chapter 1 Season 5. At this time in the game, Rifts had just been added to the game, and as you can see in the trailer for Chapter 1 Season 5, many things were getting sucked into the Rift and disappearing. So it is highly likely that Kado Thorne’s Time Machine is set to travel to this time.
Naturally, players are wondering “Is the old Fortnite map coming back?”. And one of the biggest pieces of evidence that this will happen is two highly reliable Fortnite leakers. @HYPEX and @ShiinaBR both claim that the game will return to Chapter 1.

Looking back from 2024, we can now confirm that Epic did officially bring back the OG Season 1 Fortnite map.
