This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

When it comes to Gacha games, fans tend to love the tiny details that make the universe feel more fleshed out. As is standard with HoYoverse properties, Honkai Star Rail has these tiny details found by players in the community and on Reddit. These moments help pepper players with an environment full of life. Despite this, Honkai Star Rail, before Version 1.4, was still missing a tiny detail thatโ€™s become almost standard throughout any other Gacha game. The funniest part of this addition is that it has absolutely zero impact on gameplay, yet the Honkai Star Rail fan base couldnโ€™t be happier with the inclusion of a fortune teller.

Despite not having it in the past, Honkai Star Rail Version 1.4 has included a new fortune teller shrine. By interacting with this shrine, players can have their daily fortune read. These fortunes include things like โ€œHappinessโ€ or โ€œGriefโ€ which relate to your daily luck. This is great for superstitious players looking to give them a little more courage for their upcoming Warps or gameplay in general. Plus, for those looking for some rewards, players can get some free Stellar Jade for each unique fortune they draw. Itโ€™s not a lot, but at the very least itโ€™s a reason to check this Honkai Star Rail fortune teller out.

Although this has no actual effect on a player’s RNG or luck when it comes to Warps, itโ€™s still fun to see what your fortunes are, especially before major pulls. For some of the more superstitious Gacha players, before the addition of this fortune teller, Honkai Star Rail felt almost incomplete. Itโ€™s easy to see just how much the fan base loves this sort of thing by looking at a Reddit post pointing out Honkai Star Rail Version 1.4โ€™s newest addition. In a post by Duropolosis, players have been sharing their experiences with the fortune teller, both good and bad. This includes a player who, despite being cursed with bad luck, managed to get a 5-star pull from a single Warp.

Itโ€™s stories like these from a funny, small, and relatively useless detail that feel like so much more. Though Honkai Star Rail Version 1.4 has been very strong thus far, itโ€™s things like this that bring the community together. From here on, personally, before I roll for each new character, Iโ€™ll make sure to visit the fortune teller shrine before each Warp. Hopefully, once I start, Iโ€™ll find my own funny Honkai Star Rail fortune telling stories to share with the community as well.
