Starting on October 17, players worldwide will be able to participate in Diablo IV’s second season, Season of Blood. The season invites new themes to the fray, including the introduction of vampiric powers and other bosses and enemies. Part of this new season means making a new seasonal character to progress through the story and earn new abilities and cosmetics for you and your mount. To make it easier on you, we wrote precisely how to make a seasonal character in Diablo IV.

To create a seasonal character in Diablo IV, follow these instructions:

  • Select the Create a New Character option from the main menu.
  • Create your character, choose your class, and finalize your creation.
  • Select your desired gameplay setting.
  • Give your character a name.
  • Select the Start Game option to toggle the Select Hero Realm window.
  • Select the Seasonal Realm and press Continue.

You will also have the choice of joining the Eternal Realm, which offers the default experience with no seasonal content, though you won’t be able to play Season of Blood. You can skip the campaign by pressing the Skip Campaign option as long as it’s available.

How To Start Season Of Blood

To start the second season of Diablo IV, you must have finished the campaign. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean you have to play through it all. This season introduces the ability to skip the campaign, as we had mentioned before, after having completed the Missing Pieces quest as part of the prologue. At that point, you can immediately jump into the content for Season of Blood. You’ll need to speak with Oren in Ked Bardu, located within Dry Steppes, if you’d like to initial the Blood Money quest that does this.

At that point, you will have access to everything that Season of Blood offers, including a much faster track towards reaching Level 100 and new, Uber-difficult World Tier bosses and cosmetics that you can use on yourself and your mount.
