The upcoming PS5 Slim has been making the rounds on social media, and Sony has not officially announced a release date yet. But the debut of the improved console has been leaked by a prominent leaker with a solid track record, Billbil-Kun. The leaker confirmed that both versions of the PlayStation 5 Slim, the one with the disc drive as well as the Digital version, will be available in the US on November 10. That isn’t all, as the Spider-Man 2 bundle will also launch on November 8 for a hefty $559.99.
As for the prices of the unbundled version, the Standard version is expected to be around $499.99. Meanwhile, its digital-only counterpart is set at an inviting $449.99. It is quite odd that the Digital version is priced only $50 below the standard one. For the unaware, the Blu-ray drive is now modular, meaning it can be bought separately and installed into the Digital version of the console for an additional $79.99.

And in another delusional move by Sony, anyone who wants to place their console vertically will have to buy the official stand which is priced at a ludicrous $30. Let’s just say it is unlikely to be flying off the shelves like the PlayStation Portal, especially since third-party alternatives will lower the price in the near future.
This leak has been corroborated by Amazon Japan, which also indicated the same November 10 release date for the PS5 Slim. Usually, Sony opts to release slimmer consoles sometime around halfway through the console’s lifespan, but this early release hasn’t gotten the best reception from fans. Mainly because it seems like a cash grab ahead of the PlayStation 5 Pro reveal that will happen eventually. And to top it off, the design has been called uninspired by most, some have even compared it to the original PlayStation.
