Spider-Man 2 gives players the opportunity to live the true web-slinger fantasy, and this time, you can choose between Miles and Peter. While both have different moves and skills, they share one thing: gadgets. These little devices are more useful than you might think, especially if you’re playing on the game’s most challenging difficulties. Besides that, this new entry throws many currencies at you to unlock and upgrade certain things. For the latter, it can be a bit overwhelming due to all the choices we have. But, to facilitate things, we’ve prepared a guide to show you which are the best gadgets to upgrade first in Spider-Man 2.
Spider-Man 2: Best Gadgets to Upgrade
While all gadgets in the game are useful, some are ridiculously broken and should be upgraded as soon as possible. If you’re struggling to choose which one you should go for, we have a few recommendations here.
Web-Grabber
This one is the perfect gadget for those who want to take down many enemies at the same time. The Web-Grabber lets you pull enemies together and leave them vulnerable to an AoE attack, such as the Venom attacks from Miles, which you get during the game’s first hours. Plus, it is a great way to pull some far-away enemies closer and let you get that combo flow going.
Upshot
While many love fighting on the safety of the ground, we can all agree aerial combat is fun and rewarding. Especially if you’re fighting on rooftops, a good old swing kick will instantly knock out an enemy, letting you finish fights earlier. That’s why we recommend the Upshot gadget. Upgrading it will help you keep your enemies in the air while you smack them with some good old Spidey moves.
Sonic Burst
Last but not least, we have the Concussion Burst or Sonic Burst, as you’ll know it later in the game, as one of the gadgets you should upgrade in Spider-Man 2. This one lets you knock back most enemies to let you breathe for a while. We all know how these games get hectic during the late-game fights, so we consider it critical to have more crowd-control gadgets like this one. When you unlock it, invest in the upgrades; you won’t regret it
Before we wrap up the guide, here are the materials you’ll need to upgrade all the gadgets in Spider-Man 2:
- Tech Parts: 4495
- City Tokens: 28
- Rare Tech Parts: 76
- Hero Tokens: 31
Again, the above list is for all the gadgets in the game. If you want to focus on the ones we recommend, the cost will be lower. And, if you want to see some of the moves you’ll perform while searching for these resources, here’s a video from our team showcasing the new web-swinging techniques.
