Riot Games has announced a new bundle for Valorant, the Valiant Hero bundle—the new bundle features Chinese-inspired skins, including a Sun Wukong finisher for the melee weapon. The bundle includes the Valiant Hero Ghost, Ares, Vandal, Operator, and Ruyi Staff Melee. The guns are designed to look like the Ruyi Staff Melee, with red and gold barrels. The body of the gun is black, with gold detailing around the edges of the gun. Personally, I think the gun skins look very sleek, with the gold really popping when accented around the black weapon.
The gold on the barrel looks nice, and the extra detailing there really makes these skins feel premium. The Ruyi Staff is the highlight, though, with the red and gold staff being a really unique take on a knife. The new bundle launches on October 31 alongside Episode 7, Act 3, and the release of the new Agent, Iso. Riot Games did not put a price on the trailer or the announcement, but bundles like this one have cost over $60 USD in the past, so don’t expect to pick this up for cheap. Despite the sleek-looking bundle, Valorant fans seem split on the new weapon skin bundle.
Fans are split on the new Valorant Valiant Hero Skin Bundle
In the YouTube comments, Valorant fans seem pretty split on the new Valiant Hero skin bundle. ZatoyaVal wrote, “Valorant never fails to disappoint” with several fire emojis, and Alex_Lockheart wrote, “the knife is INCREDIBLE but the [rest] of the bundle feels underwhelming sadly, and I’m a HUGE Sun Wukong fan. I feel like we are lacking some animations.”
Not everyone was so negative about the bundle, specifically the gun skins. Dittozkul wrote, “Riot has me saying ‘this is the last bundle I’ll buy’ every bundle.” While the community seems to be more split on the Valiant Hero guns themselves, the general consensus on the Ruyi Staff knife seems to be positive, with most people saying that the skin and the finisher both look pretty great. Riot Games likely doesn’t expect every player to purchase every weapon bundle, so a mostly positive reaction to the trailer is probably a success for them.
