Of the dozens of materials available to players in My Time at Sandrock, a good chunk of them are related to plant life. Between wood, dew, and the plant fibers used to make rope and paper, a lot of plant byproducts are useful in this game. Though Yellow Lavender might not be at the top of a list of useful plants, this plant is surprisingly easy to find and useful in making some late-game items.

Like most other plants in My Time at Sandrock, Yellow Lavender can only be found in the overworld, not any of the ruins. Yellow Lavender can be found scattered around the early-game areas of the Eufaula Desert, and chances are you won’t have to go far from your workshop to find any. You’ll want to keep an eye out for low bushes with yellow flowers on them. Thankfully, you can use a stone axe to cut down the lavender bushes, so you can collect Yellow Lavender basically from the start of the game. It’s also available year-round.

Yellow Lavender can be used in two recipes: Lavender Extract and Paint. Both of these recipes are made in the Blender, which is built using later-game items like Steel Bars and Engines. Nonetheless, after you get a Blender, Yellow Lavender can be put towards the following products:

  • Lavender Extract

Made by combining one Yellow Lavender with one Ant Honey. Restores 10 HP per second for 30 seconds.

  • Paint

Made by combining one Yellow Lavender and two Niter. Required to Unsuur’s side quest “Watching Paint Dry.”

As far as other uses for Yellow Lavender go, it only sells for 1 Gol, which isn’t very much unless you have a large stockpile. Yellow Lavender is a useful gift, earning a +2 from X and a +1 from almost everyone else. Only Andy, Jasmine, and Pebbles dislike it, with a -3 for each.
