Old Detroit is a bad place to be if you value the quiet life. Gang violence has shaken this once thriving city to its core in Teyon’s new action RPG. Even a privately owned police force may not be enough to bring these criminals to justice. Thankfully, the officers of ODPD aren’t alone. They have a supercop on their side. RoboCop is part tank and part detective, and he’s Old Detroit’s best chance at reclaiming the peace it once possessed. Throughout RoboCop: Rogue City you’ll build Officer Murphy’s skills, customize his gun, and learn the best ways to take down your enemies. As players approach the game’s finale, many will wonder if RoboCop: Rogue City has New Game Plus or if their adventures end here.
New Game Plus is a common feature in action games and RPGs alike. It offers players a chance to restart from the beginning with some of the items and abilities they’ve already earned. Unfortunately, RoboCop: Rogue City does not have New Game Plus. Once you reach the end of Officer Murphy’s adventures, that’s it. Once you complete the game and finish watching the credits, Rogue City simply returns you to the main menu. When you start a new game, RoboCop won’t have any of the skills or Auto 9 upgrades that you acquired. That’s a bit disappointing since it means you can’t take fun and lore-accurate powers like bullet deflection with you into the early game. All hope is not lost, however.
Once you’ve beaten RoboCop: Rogue City, there are still a few things you can do, even without New Game Plus. It’s easy to miss some side objectives as you work your way through the main campaign, so consider trying to 100% every case during your second playthrough. If you’re a completionist and you’ve already checked that particular box, now might be the time to up the difficulty and dig in for a real challenge instead. If you’re still trying to squeeze replay value out of this brief action title, there’s yet another option: challenge runs. Try switching up your build or giving yourself a self-imposed challenge. Think you can beat the game using only your metal fists? There’s only one way to find out.
