Early into your journey in My Time at Sandrock you will need Marble. This material, and its more refined forms like slabs, are needed for many intermediate builds. It’s a pretty common component, so you will need to have a steady supply of Marble once you have access to it. In order to mine for Marble, you will need to upgrade to a Bronze Pickhammer, as the rocks you can get Marble from require a stronger Pickhammer. Here’s where you can find Marble in My Time at Sandrock.

Marble can be mined from Hard Rock, which is found in the area south of your home. These rocks are red on the bottom and gray on the top, with some harder edges than the Gravel found in the area. While there are a ton of Hard Rocks in the area, there is a large rock formation– its shape on the above map southwest of your home–that is an excellent spot for mining. I have found that this area has a consistent spawn of Hard Rocks, about a dozen spots total. There are other spots scattered throughout the area as well. Hard Rock appears to respawn daily, although not every spot will.

Depending on the size of the rock, I have received between three to five pieces of Marble for each rock. It takes a lot of energy to break these rocks with the Bronze Pickhammer. With it, it took me about 8 to ten swings. Once you upgrade your Pickhammer further, it will take fewer swings. Hard Rocks also drop Stone, Dew, and Bloodstones consistently.
