This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

After spending some time getting new diagrams and assembling new stations, you’ll eventually want to build yourself an Apprentice Cooking Station. Once you do, you’ll notice that the Mysterious Man that started showing up in Sandrock now has a new quest for you to complete. He’ll ask you to make a recipe called Drool With Joy Noodles, but won’t teach you the actual recipe. He will just give you the ingredients that you need. With that information, we wrote out everything you need to complete Iron Chef Free Cities in My Time at Sandrock.

The quest can only begin after you’ve ordered an Apprentice Cooking Station diagram from Qi. After that, you can get the quest from the Mysterious Man in My Time at Sandrock. You can then follow these instructions to complete it.

  1. Build the Apprentice Cooking Station.

This is the station required to actually make the meal.

  2. Obtain the required ingredients.

    – One Meat
    – One Wheat
    – One Alfalfa
    – One Rib Meat
    – One Seesai Pepper Blend (Given to you by the Mysterious Man)

Put all the ingredients into the Apprentice Cooking Station and cook them in the Cooking Pot. The herbs will appear in a different window, separate from the other ingredients. The Seesai Pepper Blend is only given to you by the Mysterious Man for this quest.

  3. Mix the ingredients.

Once all the ingredients are put together, mix them up by hitting the Confirm button. You’ll know you did it correctly because a menu will show up that shows the stats for the Drool With Joy Noodles.

  4. Speak with the Mysterious Man.

Once you’ve created the dish, you can head back to the Mysterious Man and show it to him. He will then ask that you try to sell the recipe to Owen for at least 200 Gols.

Once you’re done talking to him, the quest will end, and instead, it will change to A Hard Bargain, which asks you to find Owen and try to sell him the recipe. In our experience, we talked to Owen and skirted the issue of selling the recipe until the end of the conversation when we mentioned that Mabel wanted the recipe for 200 Gols.

This will motivate Owen to purchase the recipe for 400 Gols instead because he doesn’t want Mabel to have the best noodles in town.
