The Sniper is a character that can only be acquired by beating the game Risk of Rain Returns one time. While this might seem like a really easy endeavor, it becomes clear pretty quickly that it’s much easier said than done. There are, however, a few in-game tricks that you can use to your advantage to beat the game and grab the Sniper.
Unlocking The Sniper Quickly in Risk of Rain Returns
In our experience, we found that the easiest and fastest way to beat the game and get the sniper is to change the intensity of the game in the rules. You can quite literally lower the damage taken to 10% and raise the amount of damage dealt to 200%. This will automatically make each run easier for you to go through. We finished a game in about twenty minutes using this trick.
We also tested some equipment to see if it made runs any faster or easier. The ones that we landed on that you would do well to find are the following:
- Sawmerang – throw out a sawmerang, slicing enemies for 500% damage and making them bleed for 4×100% damage.
- Unstable Watch – Stop time for seven seconds.
- Lost Doll – Sacrifice 25% health to damage an enemy for 500% of your maximum health.
- Disposable Missile Launcher – fire a swarm of 12 missiles, dealing 300% damage each.
- Nematocyst Nozzle – Shoot out 6 nematocysts that deal 400% damage.
- Gold-plated Bomb – use 50% of your gold to create a bomb, dealing one damage per gold spent. Refund 20% of gold for each enemy that you kill with this.
We also made sure to open every chest and grab as many drones as possible before fighting Providence.
