For some roles, it takes a lot of physical preparation to be ready. After taking a break from the recent strikes and probably losing some of those gains, Hugh Jackman posted a video of his workout so he can get back in Wolverine shape (seen below). He will get himself ready to continue production on Deadpool 3, which will resume by the end of November to hit its July 2024 date.
The video, posted on his social media accounts, shows him using a trap bar with some serious weights attached. In the caption of the workout, Hugh Jackman wrote, “LFG #becomingwolverine(again).” From what we can see, he is getting into what we remember him looking like, just with a little more gray hair this time around.
Hugh Jackman Gets Back into Shape in New Workout Video For His Wolverine Return
Over the years, the actor got bigger during his tenure as the X-Men member. If you look back at the first movie, he is in shape but not big like we typically see actors in superhero roles. As the genre evolved, he got more muscular.
The timing of Hugh Jackman posting his workout matches perfectly with his co-star Ryan Reynolds. The leading actor recently posted on Instagram about getting into shape. He thanked his trainer, Don Saladino, for helping him achieve his goal before getting “into Deadpool’s Big Red Body Condom™️ again.” It looks like we will have quite the muscle-off between the two stars.
Not much is known about the plot of the next film. We will get into the thick of the multiverse, with some ties to the Fox universe. Beyond that, Shawn Levy (Free Guy) will direct with returning Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to pen the script. The two leads will be joined by returning cast members Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapici as Colossus, and Rob Delaney as Peter. Newcomers include Jennifer Garner, returning as Elektra from her time in 2003’s Daredevil, Emma Corrin (The Crown), and Matthew Macfayden (Succession).
