Through an official post, Sony has unveiled The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. This game brings the highly acclaimed sequel to the PS5 with several improvements, new game modes, and better graphical fidelity. While many fans have just finished playing the remake of the first entry, they’ll have to prepare their wallets for this remaster. The silver lining is that those who own the original PS4 game will have to pay a small fee to upgrade it and enjoy everything this version brings.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Arrives on January 19, 2024

As you can see, we’re just a couple of months away from playing the sequel’s remastered version. If you think this is just an excuse to sell the game again, that’s not the case. This version for PS5 brings the following features:

  • No Return Mode (New game mode with roguelite elements).
  • Guitar Free Play Mode.
  • New behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Director’s commentary for certain scenes.
  • Native 4K output for Fidelity Mode.
  • 1440p upscaled to 4K in Performance Mode.
  • Haptic feedback.

The most exciting thing about this remaster is undoubtedly the No Return Mode, which will put players in different stealth and combat situations and let them progress through the levels and unlock skins and other cosmetics for characters. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a collector’s edition with the following goodies:

  • Steelbook Case with Full Game
  • 47 Total Society of Champions Trading Cards
  • Washington Liberation Front Patch
  • Set of four enamel pins.
