The My Home Hero anime started airing in the spring 2023 season in April and ended in June 2023 with 12 episodes. The manga and anime were so successful that MBS and TBS in Japan created and broadcast a live-action version. This series started airing in Japan on October 24, 2023, and now they have announced the release date of the My Home Hero movie for the series with a new trailer. The plot of the series will end with this film.
My Home Hero Movie Release Date Will be on March 8, 2024
In My Home Hero, Tetsuo Tosu is an ordinary man with a typical job. He is always worried about his daughter, Reika, and her relationship with her abusive boyfriend, Nobuto. Tetsuo discovers that Nobuto belongs to a criminal organization and has a past of girlfriends “disappearing.” Also, as a concerned father, Tetsuo decides to confront Reika’s boyfriend, but things go so wrong that he ends up killing Nobuto, and the criminal organization starts asking about his disappearance. The series covers this same story, but the end of it will arrive as a live-action My Home Hero movie on its release date on March 8, 2024.
The premiere will be on Japanese television networks, MBS and TBS, in their “Dramaism” block. The companies haven’t announced if other media will distribute the movie or if there is something about a release for the West. For now, the director of My Home Hero‘s live-action movie will be Takahiro Aoyama, the same director of the series. Also, the cast will be the same as the movie, with actors like Kuranosuke Sasaki (Tetsuo Tosu), Asuka Saitō (Reika Tosu), and Tae Kimura (Kasen Tosu). Western fans hope to have the movie available after its release date in Japan, but only time will tell.
