This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Having a rare skin in competitive games is something most hardcore players yearn for, especially in Fortnite. The rarer the skins you use in these types of games, the more you showcase your experience. I’ll be honest, I’ve been playing Fortnite for a long time, but when I see someone with one of these OG skins in the game, I get a little mentally defeated. You just know they’re likely to be a solid player. Not to mention, these rare Fortnite skins are unlikely to ever be available again, so there’s a jealousy factor in play.

10. Pink Ghoul Tropper

Ghoul Tropper was originally added to Fortnite in Season 1. However, it has been added to the Item Shop a handful of times a year for the last 5 years. When news broke that the Ghoul Tropper was coming to the Item Shop for a second time, players were outraged and Epic Games gave those who owned the first version of the Ghoul Trooper the Pink Ghoul Trooper style.

9. Purple Skull Trooper

The Purple Skull Trooper shares the same fate as the Pink Ghoul Tropper skin. The Skull Trooper first arrived in Fortnite on October 26th, 2017, and is available in the Item Shop, especially during Fortnitemare. Epic Games only gave the Purple Glow Skull Trooper to those who purchased the skin in 2017.

8. Galaxy

The Galaxy skin is one of the rarest skins in Fortnite. Galaxy was added to Fortnite on August 10th, 2018 and it is no longer possible to get this skin. The reason for this is that you had to actually buy a Samsung Galaxy to get this skin. Then you had to play 3 Fortnite games with a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.

7. Travis Scott

Travis Scott appeared in the Item Shop on April 22nd, 2020 for 1,500 V-Bucks, and you could purchase the Astronomical Bundle for 2,500 V-Bucks. It stayed in the Item Shop for 7 days and has not been seen since. Additionally, the festival incident caused a lot of controversy and it is highly unlikely that Epic Games will ever bring Travis Scott back and this makes Travis Scott one of the most rare skins in Fortnite.

6. Royal Bomber

Royal Bomber was a PS4-exclusive skin. However, it’s not enough just to have a PlayStation 4 to get this skin. You had to purchase a PlayStation 4 that included the Fortnite Royal Bomber Bundle.

5. Double Helix

Double Helix is a Nintendo Switch-exclusive skin in Fortnite, just like the Royal Bomber. But this is a much, much more valuable skin because it’s being sold for thousands of dollars on sites like eBay, and I don’t have any clue why. Although I’ve been playing the game since it first came out, I’ve never seen this one and there’s no doubt that it’s one of the most rare skins in Fortnite.

4. The Paradigm

Until November 29, 2023, OG Black Widow was at number 4 on our list, but Epic Games added Black Widow back to the Item Shop on that date. As a result, Black Widow is no longer as rare as it used to be, and The Paradigm skin has taken her place. The Paradigm was added to Fortnite on October 11th, 2019 and last appeared in the Item Shop on October 13th, 2019. This skin is worth 1,200 V-Bucks and is part of The Seven Set.

3. Reflex

This extremely rare Fortnite skin was released with the GeForce Fortnite Bundle on November 29th, 2018, and only appeared in the Item Shop once on March 3rd, 2019. After that, it still hasn’t been seen since 2019. In Fortnite, you could purchase the Reflex skin for 1,200 V-Bucks, or you could get it using the GeForce Fortnite Bundle code.

2. Aerial Assault Trooper

The Aerial Assault Trooper was added to the Fortnite Item Shop on October 26th, 2017, and remained in the game until December 13th, after which it was never seen again. Like the Renegade Raider, this skin was a reward for the game’s first Battle Pass. After leveling your Battle Pass to Level 15, you could unlock the Aerial Assault Trooper in the Season Shop for an extra 1,200 V-Bucks.

1. OG Renegade Raider

No matter how much time passes, I think the most valuable skin in the game will be Renegade Raider. The Renegade Raider was added on October 26th, 2017, and is the reward for Fortnite‘s first Battle Pass. To get this skin, you had to buy a Battle Pass and get to Level 20, then you had to pay another 1,200 V-Bucks to get the skin. So it was a lot of work and expensive at the same time.
