There is a unique element of artistry in performing smooth drifts in GTA 5 or any other game with a driving system. In the last couple of years, players would have to use certain mods or servers to be able to drift in the game. Now, Rockstar has added the official drift tune and modification to GTA 5 and GTA Online, and here is how to get it.

How to Install Drift Tune in GTA 5

The Winter Update of GTA 5 and GTA Online is now available and one of the biggest additions to the game is the drift tune or modification for the cars. Before we get into how to get this tuning, there are a couple of things you should know. Firstly, when you install the Drift Modification, any other modification will be uninstalled, and you can tune the engine or other internal parts.

Secondly, there are only a certain number of cars that you can install the drift tune on which are:

  • Dinka Jester RR
  • Annis Remus
  • Annis ZR350
  • Annis Euros
  • Declasse Drift Yosemite
  • Karin Futo GTX
  • Fantom FR36
  • Declasse Drift Tampa

If you don’t have any of these cars in your garage, you must buy one. You can purchase them from Southern San Andreas or Legendary Motorsport. Now go to the LS Car Meet with your car of choice to install the drift tune. When the menu of different modifications appears, you can see the Drift Tuning at the very top of the list.

Installing this tuning will cost you $200,000 and if you wanted to remove it, it will cost you another $50,000. So make sure you choose your car carefully so you won’t have to spend extra bucks. Once you’ve installed the modification, get out of the garage and start drifting.
