This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

While most Fifth Fleet hunters in Monster Hunter World just want to get in, kill some creatures, and call it a day, knowing the species of certain monsters, such as the Fanged Wyverns, can be beneficial. For certain investigations and assignments, especially in Iceborne, you’ll need to know which of the New World denizens belong to the aforementioned category. Since several tasks in the game require you to hunt a specific group occasionally, learning which hunts are the easiest of this species could save you a lot of time and effort.

In the base game, hunting Fanged Wyverns can lead to some excellent rewards if you have the right investigation. For MHW: Iceborne, you’ll need Fanged Wyverns for Analysis Progress and more. If you’re sticking to one hunt, we recommend focusing on Tobi-Kadachi.

While its attacks can be annoying, it drops some great materials you’ll need for some elemental-infused weaponry. Besides, the armor set looks fantastic, so that’s another reason to pursue this hunt. Furthermore, it is a great way to start honing your skills before the next mainline entry of the franchise arrives. Whether you like World or Rise, each title has many things for hunters to do.
