Hades: Weapon Aspects Tier List

Turns out that being a plaything of the gods can be fun, especially if you know what you’re doing in Hades. You get to play with their second-hand weapons. Also, to spice things up from time to time, you get to modify it with weapon aspects. Now, there are a lot of them, which is why we’ve prepared this Hades weapon aspects tier list for you to shorten your search.

Tier S – The Best Weapon Aspects in Hades

You know how it goes with tier lists, S is best. They’re also sometimes overpowered to the point where they can make each run through the Underworld a breeze. Some of them are either easy to use, provide huge damage boosts, or lay the groundwork for some rather fun builds.

Consider these top-tier weapon aspects in Hades if you want the best of the best.

• Aspect of Zeus (Shield)
  • Your Special is replaced with the Blitz Disc.
• Aspect of Rama (Bow)
  • You have Celestial Sharanga, which can cause Shared Suffering.
• Aspect of Demeter (Fists)
  • After landing 12 strikes, your next Special hits more enemies.

The contender for the tippety top would be the Zeus Aegis or Shield. It’s one of the easiest weapons to play since you can just turtle behind it. The added damage from Zeus’ Special Blitz Disc makes it an even comfier weapon.

Meanwhile, the Rama Heart-Seeking Bow helps a lot in clearing trash mobs, especially in the final fight against Big Daddy H. It also provides good passive damage. As for the Demeter Fists, the a high buildup requirement but it procs more often than you think with lots of hits. You’ll notice it more in boss fights and against tanky enemies.

Tier A Weapon Aspects

Not the best in our humble opinion, but they’re pretty close. They’re more than enough for most encounters. If you’re really skilled in Hades, you might even match the run duration of certain S-Tier weapon aspect users.

• Aspect of Chiron (Bow)
  • Your Special automatically seeks the foe last struck by your Attack.
• Aspect of Arthur (Sword)
  • You have Holy Excalibur and +50 Health to your Life Total.
• Aspect of Achilles (Spear)
  • After your Special, you can retrieve your Spear with Raging Rush.
• Aspect of Eris (Rail)
  • For 4 seconds after absorbing your Special’s blast, deal more damage.
• Aspect of Talos (Fist)
  • Your Special becomes a Magnetic Cutter; its pull deals 20 damage.

The Aspect of Chiron, in particular, is a highly convenient weapon, especially against bosses, and especially if you don’t like aiming too much. Achilles’ Spear is also a convenient option for getting your spear back during hectic scenarios.

Most of the Hades weapon aspects in this tier list are ideal if you’re tired of the same old combo and are looking to spice up your fights.

Tier B Weapon Aspects

These are where most of the weapon aspects fall in. You can consider them as average in terms of performance. For some, they can even be above average; but you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve ranked half of the default weapon aspects (Aspect of Zagreus) here.

By no means are these weapons poor or not viable. It’s just that they can sometimes pale in comparison with S-tier weapon aspects.

• Aspect of Zagreus (Fists)
• Aspect of Zagreus (Shield)
• Aspect of Chaos (Shield)
  • After you Bull Rush, your next Special throws multiple shields.
• Aspect of Beowulf (Shield)
  • You have Naegling’s Board but take +10% damage.
• Aspect of Poseidon (Sword)
  • Your Special dislodges Cast Ammo from foes.
• Aspect of Hera (Bow)
  • Your Cast Ammo loads into your next Attack, firing on impact.
• Aspect of Lucifer (Rail)
  • You have Igneus Eden, which launches volatile Hellfire.
• Aspect of Gilgamesh (Fists)
  • You have the Claws of Enkidu, whose Dash-Upper can Maim foes.
• Aspect of Hades (Spear)
  • Your Spin Attack becomes a Punishing Sweep.
• Aspect of Hestia (Rail)
  • After you manually Reload, your next shot is empowered.

You can rest easy now that even your favored Zagreus Shield or Aegis is decent enough as a weapon. So are the Bow and the Fists.

Tier C Weapon Aspects

Alright, you can throw out your Gen Z insults here, because these are mid, or in the millennial vernacular, meh. Once you’ve unlocked all the other aspects using Titan Blood, you might even be tempted to skip these.

Of course, that’s our opinion again for Hades weapon aspects, but the general community consensus doesn’t put these weapons in a favorable light.

• Aspect of Zagreus (Spear)
• Aspect of Zagreus (Rail)
• Aspect of Zagreus (Sword)
• Aspect of Nemesis (Sword)
  • For 3 Sec. after your Special, your Attack may deal Critical damage.
• Aspect of Guan Yu (Spear)
  • You have the Frost Fair Blade, but your life and healing are reduced.

Sadly, despite being a secret weapon aspect in Hades, the Guan Yu Spear is basically a double negative which you don’t want. The other weapon aspects, such as the Zagreus defaults and the Nemesis Stygian sword don’t really stand out. Don’t feel too tempted by the Nemesis Stygian’s boost as you can get the Critical bonus from Artemis.
