In Pokemon Go, there are many ways to earn XP, but not all are created equal. In fact, the methods vary greatly as some are more effective than others. For example, if you visit a Pokestop, you earn 100 XP, but if you visit a Pokestop daily for seven days in a row, you will earn 2,500 XP for the bonus.

These are the different ways that can net you more XP in Pokemon Go quickly:

  • Hatch Eggs:
    • 2km Eggs – 500 XP
    • 5km Egg – 1,000 XP
    • 7km Eggs – 1,500 XP
    • 10km Eggs – 2,000 XP
    • 12km Eggs – 4,000 XP
  • Evolving Pokemon:
    • Evolve 1 Pokemon – 1,000 XP.
    • A new entry in your Pokedex – 2000 XP instead
  • Gyms:
    • Defeat an enemy Gym – 1,000 XP
    • Defeat a Pokemon in the enemy Gym – 300 XP
    • Bonus for defeating every Pokemon in the enemy Gym with only one attempt – 150 XP

    • Third/ or Fourth-tier Raid Boss – 5,000 XP
    • Legendary, Mega, or Primal Raid Boss – 10,000 XP
    • Elite Raid Boss – 12,000 XP

What’s the Best Way to Get XP in Pokemon GO?

The best way to get XP faster is to use the Lucky Egg in Pokemon Go. This item will double your points for 30 minutes, which is really effective. You can buy a Lucky Egg in the store for 80 coins or an eight-pack for 500 coins. Take advantage of those 30 minutes to get the most XP in the shortest time. Meanwhile, using a route is another solid idea, too.
