We have a Code Red. Netflix has released a Stranger Things cast photo to announce that production has begun for the final season (seen below). It was supposed to be filmed last year but was postponed due to the WGA strike and then the following SAG-AFTRA strike that happened in solidarity to fight for better pay and against the use of AI.
The picture below features the OG cast of Stranger Things and the people who have joined throughout the last four seasons. The photo features Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Cara Buono, Joe Keery, Amybeth McNulty, Charlie Heaton, Brett Gelman, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Jamie Campbell Bower, Priah Ferguson, Linda Hamilton, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, and Sadie Sink. You can also spot Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the beloved Netflix series.
Stranger Things Cast Photo Celebrates Production on the Final Season
One of the notable featured people in the picture is Hamilton. The Terminator star joined the series last year. No details are known about her character. We will have to wait to see if she is helping the residents of Hawkins or siding with Vecna. Like any newcomer, it should be interesting to see her interact with the established Stranger Things cast.
Previously, the scripts had been completed, which would have led to the filming of the fifth season. Due to the WGA strike, writers would not be able to be a part of the production or post-production process. So, the Duffer brothers decided to press pause to have writers on set when the show began filming.
Last season had a major cliffhanger as the Upside Down came to the other side. Soon, all of Hawkins will face the evil under their noses. We will be patiently waiting for the season to hit Netflix. For now, the first four seasons are available on the streaming service.
